Our History
Our market launched back in 2008 with the intention to promote local agriculture while inviting the community to downtown Annandale. While we started out small, our committed patrons and vendors have made this market a success from the onset.
The Annandale Farmers Market is made possible by our umbrella organization Annandale Area Community Team (AACT) and Discover Downtown.

Mission
The Annandale Farmers Market serves as a gathering space where families, neighbors, and individuals come not only to buy fresh and local, but to also visit with their friends and loved ones. Our market is dedicated to healthy food, local agriculture, and community collaboration. .
Everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy, and local food and we therefore accept SNAP/EBT and Market Bucks. We also want everyone to get excited about local agriculture early on, so we offer the Power of Produce program to get kids and youth excited about produce. |
Farmers Market Committee
the market is coordinated by a group of volunteers
Corry Bregendahl, Market Manager - Corry has been a part of the market since 2017 when her son Rasmus began selling fresh baked goods at the market through The Danish Baker. Corry has a professional background in sustainable agriculture research and often lends her skills to the market. She enjoys tending to her large veggie garden, foraging for fungi and perfecting her sourdough.
Patti VanDorp, Committee Member - Patti is a founder of the market and committed member of the Annandale community. She womans the market booth and manages the financial books. Patti enjoys hanging with her dog poky, and staying endlessly curious about life. Barb Westman, Committee Member - Barb has been a part of the market since it's inception through her husband's beloved booth Papa Toms. Barb is no stranger to high-quality, delicious local food, having run her own catering company Cottage Gourmets for the past several years. Barb enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, playing board games, and completing DIY projects. Marnie Macgregor, PoP Program Coordinator - At age 15 Marnie began vending at the market for her family's orchard, Fairhaven Farm. Thirteen years later she has returned home from New York State where she worked on a variety of farms, and coordinates our program that gets kids and youth excited about produce. She enjoys listening to podcasts, making dad jokes, and eating apples. Shout out to our past committee members: Sue Thwing (Manager 2008-2019), Heather Wirth (PoP Coordinator, 2017-2019), and Katie VanDorp (2020). Along with our additional volunteers that make the market possible: Harry VanDorp, George Martin, Zane Schaefer, and Mary Heinz.
